Kirby Ultimate G Bagged Upright Vacuum\015 My Kirby seems to work too well. Since we got our vacuum we have.been getting lumps in our carpet, mostly in the high traffic.areas. We pulled part of the carpet up too see what the problem.was and found that the bumps were piles of dirt! It seems the.Kirby is trying to **** up dirt from the subfloor, but the dirt can’t.go through the carpet pad so it just forms piles. Does any one with a.Kirby have a similar problem? Is it our vacuum or the carpet, or.just a dirty subfloor? Is there anything we can do about it!\015

How to Identify and Fix Common Vacuum Problems ?

Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced Vacuum Technicians :

Kirby vacuums are constructed with die-cast aluminum parts. That`s what gives them their weight as well as their durability. However, when vacuuming, our amazing TechDrive® power assist makes the unit seem almost weightless. It senses the speed and direction that you want to go making vacuuming seem effortless.
That`s because the Kirby isn`t just a vacuum. It`s a whole-home system capable of shampooing carpets, mopping hard floors, polishing hardwoods, and scrubbing tile and grout.
On most Kirby vacuum cleaners, filtration is managed by the filter bag that is used to collect dust and debris. However, some models offer a secondary level of filtration in the form of a foam filter or a screen filter.
There is a fill line on the disposable bag and when the dirt reaches this line you should replace your disposable bag because it is no longer filtering properly. Be sure to utilize only Genuine Kirby filter bags, available here to ensure your Kirby system is cleaning properly.
Tests with airflow meters repeatedly reveal that Kirby vacuums maintain excellent airflow and power even as their bags fill.
Kirby`s Copy Abilities Give Him Even More Versatility

Kirby`s copy abilities are every bit as powerful and more than Mario`s power-ups. And unlike Mario, Kirby`s power sources are far more common. He can inhale enemies, environments, projectiles, and much more to access new abilities.

Upright vacuums are also particularly well-suited for carpeting, because they`re typically more powerful than cordless stick vacuums and can more easily lift up hair, dirt, and debris that`s embedded in carpet fibers.
In fact, vacuums are superior to mopping practices when it comes to your hardwood, because they suck up the debris and dirt straight away, rather than just spreading those scratch-causing particles around.
Kirby vacuum systems are engineered to get the dirt that others leave behind. Our HEPA filtration vacuum bags trap dirt and debris preventing allergens from getting back into your home.
The Dyson vs. Kirby vacuum cleaners debate can be complicated, as these brands are so different. If it comes down to price or size, Dyson will probably get the upper hand — but for all other vacuuming considerations, Kirby is the way to go.
For over 100 years, The Kirby Company has sold its home care systems through in-home demonstrations by authorized, independent Distributors. It`s the only way we sell our product. We firmly believe that every buyer deserves the opportunity to try our cleaning system in the comfort of their own home.
Kirby vacuum cleaners are made of die cast aluminum where most other vacuums are made of plastic. This makes the Kirby vacuum more durable than other model on the market. This is why the average lifespan of a Kirby is over 30 years.

My carpet cleaner (bissell proheat plus) is not steaming, dispensing cleaner. Seems like there’s a little thingy that should be spinning or turning….. When I work a small area of carpet, it just leaves behind dry blobs of carpet gunk like pet hair. I had to use a carpet sweeper to clean up. FYI – I filled the cleaning fluid container and after trying to clean the carpet, it did empty out but the carpet isn’t wet. Any tips? The manual doesn’t help.
ANSWER : You need to replace the pump belt. Here is the belt you need:

Bissell ProHeat Belt

I have a Bissell Pro 2x carpet cleaner. The water heats properly as well as spraying the cleaning product. However, when I go to suction the water from the carpets, the 2 in 1 water tank bladder works properly but there is no dirty water outside the bladder. I have only used this carpet cleaner ~ 5 times and in the beginning I had to empty the suctioned water quite frequently as it was dirty and it could not not hold any more water. So I have done 1 room and all the dirt remains in the carpet
ANSWER : Check that the suction cone is not blocked. Check that the filter or hose to the bladder isn’t blocked as well.

Carpet stained recently cleaned my cream coloured carpet in my entrance hall with a carpet cleaning product, wet foamy spray type, ran out of this and found a part bottle of a different brand in my cupboard, used this to finish off however must be some sort of reaction and carpet gone a greenish colour i think (colour blind sorry ) any idea’s of any product that might restore my carpet, will try anything, nothing to loose. thank you Peter McGurk Goole East Yorks
ANSWER : Ok in the future try to have carpet cleaned only by a pro. For spot cleaning use white paper towels or dish towels and warm water. (ONLY WHITE) 99% of fabric is white and then dyed to color and if you use a color cloth you might pull the dye from the cloth into the carpet. Now what you can try is your basic dishwashing detergent like electrosal with warm water and a dishtowel. little at a time try to blot not rub. try AFTA if that doesnt work. wet the rag first with warm water. pour the afta on the wet rag not on the carpet.

We have a Bissell Proheat Cleanshot 2X Model 9500 Steam carpet cleaner. The first time we used it things were great. The second time we used it it left tracks in the carpet. We have no idea what caused this. We tried using the machine on an entirely different carpet and it did the same thing. After vacuuming the carpet about 10 or 12 times, the tracks are still embedded in the carpet – HELP!!!! We’re read and reread the manual and contacted customer service and received no help.
ANSWER : First things first. It’s only the second time you have used the machine, so it must be fairly new. If you have a receipt and the unit is less than a year old you should take it to an authorized Bissell repair center and have the machine inspected under warranty.
.
.Otherwise, The jets on this unit clog easily, there are two of them and you can locate them under the recovery tank towards the front of the machine, and blow them out with an air compressor. To prevent the jets from clogging in the future make sure to flush all shampoo out of the machine with clean water when done using it. That is most likely your problem.
.
.If it is leaving black streaks on your carpet it could be coming from a burnt belt or melted brushroller part, in which case inspect the belts and brushrollers and replace the damaged pieces.

.I hope this helped

Dirt devil vacuum cleaner–trouble vacuuming dirt and pet hair on carpeting –is the problem with the spinning brush which contacts the floor,  not contacting the carpeting??  I thought (when I bought this vacuum) that the aforementioned brush was adjustable to various heights of carpeting.  Sometimes, it seems like nothing is being vacuumed up –unless I have just put a new bag on the vacuum… Do I need or can I replace the spinning brush on the bottom of the vacuum so it kicks up and vacuums
ANSWER : Try replacing the belt. Rubber belts stretch out after about a year.

I have a very old kirby generation 3 unit that converst to a carpet shampooer. I was attemtping to shampoo the carpets but it does not seem to be picking any of the water back up out of the carpet. What am I missing?
ANSWER : Make sure the belt on the carpet shampoo aggitator is good, (could be stretched or broken) recommend replacing that belt. also make sure your fan in the front of the machine doesnt have any chips or cracks around the center. (this will cause lower suction) a new belt should cure the problem for you.
